Busy summer so far...

At the beach with friends...it's been great beach weather lately.Nice and hot!
My cutie getting sudsed up.

Another beach day!

Rory's first MLB game! Go Pads!

Rory's taking more swim lessons, he's swimming! Well, he can propel himself forward. But I still count that. He is definitely the best of the class, and the most unafraid of the water, which worries me sometimes. He keeps asking when he can dive off the high dive.

Rory and his teacher Anthony.

Sydney at the splash park. She also loves the water. We've been spending alot time in water lately, I'm going to have some nice little brown kids by the end of summer.

Sorry these are tiny, some photos my Mom took with her camera at the Wiggles concert. We had a blast!

We checked out a really cool Railroad Museum at Balboa Park...I didn't tell Rory that is where we were going, and told him I had a surprise for him. He LOVED it. The best $6 I've ever spent on an entertainment source for him. He keeps asking when he can go back to his "prize."

Me and Sydney bored out of our minds at the Railroad museum...definitely a testosterone driven industry...

More railroad models.

At Balboa Park.

More splash park, loves this shot of Sydney's behind.

We went to Glorietta Bay(again) in Coronado with Micah's family for a day of fun this past weekend...here's Rory and one of his cousins, Madelyn.

As you can see it's been a fun and busy couple of weeks. Last night Rory and I went to Sea World, just the two of us, and let me tell you, I need ot do that more often. We went on all the rides, climbed the rope climbs, saw some animals, and just had fun. Not stuff I can do at this time with Sydney in tow. Sunday I had the wonderful opportunity to go to a Stake Fireside that was in rememberance of the Pioneers, and I made sure to be there, because Elder Holland, one of the Twelve Apostles, and his wife Sister Holland, were special guests. And Elder Holland even spoke. It was a wonderful Fireside with lots of inspiring music, and a great reminder of the sacrifice that was made for on behalf of the Church and the Gospel by all of the Pioneers.
We've been swimming everyday, beach a few times a week, all the typical summer stuff. I'm exausted. I am now planning a vacation for next year to Europe(I hope!!)...as long as we can save up the required money. I've always wanted to go to the UK, so that's my goal. Micah laughed when I said we were going, but I think once we get some money saved exclusively for the trip, and it gets closer, he'll be more into the idea. I really want to use our passports at some point before they expire!!
Other than that, we get a whole Saturday to ourselves this weekend! My wonderful Mom will be taking both kids for Saturday, all day, so Micah and I can relaxe and have fun just the two of us. So maybe a temple trip and maybe some disc golf is in order. I'll update later with what we spent our day doing(as long as it's doesn't end up just being laying around the house....which wouldn't surprise me in the least.)Anyways, until next time!

Last few weeks..

It's been a busy few weeks, lots of Sea World time, beach time, park time, and last week into this week we were in Utah for a family reunion. Here's some photos. ;)
Had to snap a photo, Rory and Micah napping. My two sweet guys.

The three of us in Del Mar.

Rory LOVES the beach. The water was no where near warm, but that doesn't seem to phase him. As I stood there with my toes barely touching the water, talking myself out of getting hypothermia, he just jumped right in. Oh to be a kid again.

Sydney on our first leg of our trip to Utah. We stopped in Primm, NV for lunch, and Sydney had decided to smear what was a piece of fruit leather all over her face. Anyways, Rory talked us into McDonald's, but as our luck would have it, precidely two minutes before we pulled intot he parking lot, so did four large buses full of Army recruits that were hankering for some McDonald's. So we decided to skip it. Sorry Ronald.

We stayed overnight in Las Vegas, and decided to cool off from the 108 degree weather by taking a swim. Afterwards, I decided to run the kids a bath, and Micah was ablr to get tis picture opportunity. Two of us could wait to get our swim suits off, one could apparently not.

Rory "doing his business." This was our first day in Utah, and Rory got right down to business.

Sydney hanging out with some of her extended cousins. Anything to keep them contained and entertained!

Micah and his Grandpa Gale. He turns 90 next year, and what a guy!

Me and my wonderful, talented and beautiful sister in law Tara.
What can I say?
Rory painting a picture for Mema Kim.
We had a great little "arroyo" running through camp, and Rory got a kick out of the fact that everyone stuck food/drinks in a dammed area to keep it cold. So I took a photo so he can always and forever remember it.

After a water balloon fight.
All of the kids at the reunion.
Grandpa Gale telling everyone about the "olden" days when he was a kid. We loved hearing about life when people had to wake up and milk cows and do chores first thing in the morning. What a foreign concept.
Rory playing a game that kids would play back when grandpa Gale was young...basically passing a log/stick as fast as they could down a line, trying to beat the other team. Sounds like hours of fun.... ;)
Another game, they would scoop water from one tub to another and try to fill it up faster then the other team. Rory liked this one. There was also another game where he had to use his face to dig through wheat and find candy. That was his favorite, but only because candy was involved.
