This is over the past 5 days..we have been a busy bunch, out enjoying all the sunshine we've had.
Fist, here's the kids playing with their new sand and water table. We unfortunately don't have a yard, but one of our patios fits this nicely.
On Thursday we spent the day in Coronado. We ran a couple errands, and then went to La Salsa for lunch(I forgot how good that place is, wish there was one here in Poway!), and then spent a while at one of the parks.
On Friday we spent the day at the Zoo with our friends Jayda and Rachel. We ad a great time, and even saw some famous faces there for the opening of the new Polar Bear exhibit.Who would have known that would draw so much media and such a HUGE line of people? They are polar bears!! Do they talk? Do they dance? They had better for the amount of people we saw waiting to see them.
Checking out their friends the oranguetangs. (Did I spell that right?..well, whatever...you get it.)
Saturday we went to a new park in San Marcos and had a picnic with the Kim side of the family, plus some of the Poulsons, so it was nice to see them!
Rory playing ladder ball with Uncle Rob and some cousins. He picked it up really fast and did better than me immediately!
Sydney trying to ride Rory's scooter.
Sunda after church.
I took a short nap Sunday afternoon, and this is what I awoke to in the living room:
Today(Monday), Sydney went poop in the potty! Here's her reward... a lollipop. Rory got one too because he helped to "cheer" her on. It was pretty funny. ;)
We then headed to La Jolla Shores with the Johnsons and the Brownings. Rory had a blast playing with all of his cousins, and it was a beautiful day to be at the beach.
All of the cousins(including me, because Sydney wouldn't unlatch from my body).
Sydney has been in the clingy mode lately, and this was her the entire time...on my lap. Literally 95% of the time we spent at the beach, she wouldn't get down, adn when she did, she cried. Atleast she's cute and cuddly.
For Family Home evening tonight we made our own pizzas, unfortunately I didn't get pictures of the actual creating process, but lets say the table was covered in flour, tomato sauce, cheese and toppings...and the floor...here's the kids awaiting the finished products:
Here's the pizzas...they were delicious!! We talked about the Word of Wisdom and things that are healthy for our bodies to go along with the food.
My pizza was the only one with the veggies...I tried to hide some on the kids pizzas under the cheese and pepperoni after they assembled everything, but they found them while eating, and put them in a pile on the table. I tried. ;)
