We had a seriously fun October, packed full of outings and trips. My husband thinks the kids are spoiled because I take them to do so much stuff all the time, and I guess I can't say they aren't. There life is a vacation! But, if there's is, so is mine. :)
We visited the Air and Space museum in Balboa Park, and the kids loved all of the airplanes and helicoptors. It was pretty cool.
They had a cool kids only room with a pretend moon jump and cockpit simulators, This was Rory's favorite part of the museum, of course.Micah and I got to go on a little weekend getaway for his birthday(the big 3-2). We went up to stay in Orange County, and drove up to Venice. From there we walked all the way down to Santa Monica and the pier. We were tired, so took a cab back to Venice.
The canals in Venice Beach:
On the pier with a bird dive-bombing me:
Another cool thing we did was buy Legoland Season passes. Rory has been wanting them forever, and we decided to skip the Sea World passes this year and save for legoland. So this is their Christmas present this year. We have gone a few times already, and love it. I used to work there in high school, but it's way better going with your kids as an adult!!
Rory didn't like this lego man, and yes, he is kicking him.
Enjoying ice cream....
We were able to visit the zoo last week with some friends, and even though it was cool and rainy, it was perfect! it also kept the crowds at bay.
Rory and Gene on the sky-ride over the zoo, our stroller was in the car in front of us, and they thought it was hilarious that it was all alone on the sky ride...BOYS.
Our beautiful view of Balboa Park and downtown San Diego in the distance.
Sydney enjoying a licorice stick on the way home...even when sleeping. She kept licking it and smiling even though she was out cold.
