Oh Sunny Days(Disclaimer...LOTS of pictures ahead!!)

This is over the past 5 days..we have been a busy bunch, out enjoying all the sunshine we've had.

Fist, here's the kids playing with their new sand and water table. We unfortunately don't have a yard, but one of our patios fits this nicely.

On Thursday we spent the day in Coronado. We ran a couple errands, and then went to La Salsa for lunch(I forgot how good that place is, wish there was one here in Poway!), and then spent a while at one of the parks.
On Friday we spent the day at the Zoo with our friends Jayda and Rachel. We ad a great time, and even saw some famous faces there for the opening of the new Polar Bear exhibit.Who would have known that would draw so much media and such a HUGE line of people? They are polar bears!! Do they talk? Do they dance? They had better for the amount of people we saw waiting to see them.
Checking out their friends the oranguetangs. (Did I spell that right?..well, whatever...you get it.)
Saturday we went to a new park in San Marcos and had a picnic with the Kim side of the family, plus some of the Poulsons, so it was nice to see them!
Rory playing ladder ball with Uncle Rob and some cousins. He picked it up really fast and did better than me immediately!
Sydney trying to ride Rory's scooter.
Sunda after church.
I took a short nap Sunday afternoon, and this is what I awoke to in the living room:
Today(Monday), Sydney went poop in the potty! Here's her reward... a lollipop. Rory got one too because he helped to "cheer" her on. It was pretty funny. ;)
We then headed to La Jolla Shores with the Johnsons and the Brownings. Rory had a blast playing with all of his cousins, and it was a beautiful day to be at the beach.
All of the cousins(including me, because Sydney wouldn't unlatch from my body).
Sydney has been in the clingy mode lately, and this was her the entire time...on my lap. Literally 95% of the time we spent at the beach, she wouldn't get down, adn when she did, she cried. Atleast she's cute and cuddly.
For Family Home evening tonight we made our own pizzas, unfortunately I didn't get pictures of the actual creating process, but lets say the table was covered in flour, tomato sauce, cheese and toppings...and the floor...here's the kids awaiting the finished products:
Here's the pizzas...they were delicious!! We talked about the Word of Wisdom and things that are healthy for our bodies to go along with the food.
My pizza was the only one with the veggies...I tried to hide some on the kids pizzas under the cheese and pepperoni after they assembled everything,  but they found them while eating, and put them in a pile on the table. I tried. ;)

Kicking up ice

Rory got his progress report for his ice skating class, it says he is REALLY fast, but needs to control his skates more...so basically he's fast, but too crazy. Which I already knew. He's asking to try another activity, so maybe karate? I don't know. Ideas, please!
What is it about car washes that mesmerize kids? Well, and me. They are so fun! Yay for the Costco $7.99 car wash...cleans my car and entertains my kids. Also a great bribery("if your good in Costco, we can go in the carwash!").
Sydney was being silly at breakfast one morning this week, and thought it was hilarious that she was sticking her apple jacks on her snot that was coming out of her nose. Can you say GROSS?!
We went to a great park in Encinitas this week. It was really hot out, and no shade, and the water feature they have was shut off because of the supposed water shortage. Anyways, so Rory made use of our sand buckets and filled them up with water and dumped them onto a big rocky embankment that has sand. He had fun playing. I think he made atleast 20 trips to the drinking fountain to fill up the buckets.

Busy weekend

We had a crazy Saturday, it was one of those days where you need more hours in the day. And of course we ended up losing an hour on Sunday. Rory got to go to a fun Primary activity on Saturday morning. They got to look at all kinds of painting of Christ and learn about each scene. Plus they played games, and brought home treats.
After I dropped him off, I went to drop off a gift basket I put together for the Disney Give a Day, Get a Day program.  we are planning on going up to Disney sometime next month. Then I stopped at at Ross to pick up a birthday gift for a birthday paty we were heading to a little later.
Then we picked up Rory, went down to Mission Bay, and had some fun with our friends the Walts, for their daughter Rachel's birthday. Here's some photos. Rory and Sydney loved the pinata, but surprisingly didn't seem as excited about the candy as I thought they would.(Which is fine with me!!)
It was super windy and cold down there, so they had kites that Rory flew..perfect day for that!

After the party, I started dinner and my brother and sister-in-law Lynnette  and neice Kaydence came over for dinner and to hang out for the evening. Here's Keith and Syndey and Kaydence.
I tried to get one of all the kids, but Sydney kept blocking Kaydence.
Kaydence and Rory.
Aunt Lynnette and Sydney.
We finished off the weekend with a nice relaxing Sunday. I had to give a talk in Sacrament, but that went well, and then I finished off the day with a nice nap, and then we took a walk before bedtime, one of the great things about it staying light out later, walks after dinner! Hope you all had a great weekend, too!
