Another day at the beach...

Swim Lessons: The other day we saw some sky writing, too:

We have been at the beach ALOT lately, enjoying what warm weather we can squeeze out of Summer. We have a favorite beach that we have always gone to in Coronado, so that is where we have been going all summer. We went a few times last week with my good friend Leticia, and her son Gene and Rory are best pals. They spent everyday we were there running up and down the beach, and building sand castles.

We also got to have my sister Kathryn join us last Friday, and it was sooo fun! Not only did she make it more fun, but she was a huge help, since it was me with three kids...(Gene came with us):

We headed down again yesterday as a family and met with our best pals the Walt's, and had a picnic and played. They took more pictures than me, so not sure how I missed pictures of Rory!!

Updates: Micah has been busy with work, I am busy with the kids. Rory is doing swim lessons for the last time this year, and has made leaps and bounds just over the last 2 months. He is constantly trying to swim off into the deep end at lessons by himself, and when his swim instructor asks him to stay put, he just says"but I'm trying to practice!" He has been going through the terrible Four's(I decided that was valid), and talks back constantly, but he's a sweetheart, and helps me whenever I need him to, does daily chores(empties trash cans, cleans off table after meals, helps sort and put away laundry, makes bed, etc...). He doesn't start school until next year, which he is upset about, but I am continuing to do some homeschooling. He is progressing in reading, and we are mostly focusing on math right now(not my strongest point, but I can handle basic math!)

Sydney loves swimming too, and next year will do her own swim lessons. She is a little daredevil like her brother, and wants to do everything he is doing. On a regular basis people think she is at least a year older than her age(she just turned 2 last month). I think it's because she is a tall girl, and is pretty clear in her speech. She knows our phone number, which we asked her jokingly, but when she repeated it perfectly, we were very impressed!
We have some fun stuff planned for next month(I love Fall!). We're headed tot he Muse concert next week, and next month Micah and i are taking a weekend trip up to the OC. We also have a camping trip planned for the beginning of the month up to Julian again, and of course our annual family trip to Bate's Nut farm. So next month should be a memorable one.
Anyways, we got some family pictures done on Friday evening, so I'll post those as soon as I get those back!
