Long time no type...

Sydney with her friend Izzy...they have so much fun together!
Lost of hugs and kisses during our visits. We checked out a new park near Fiesta Island last week, Rory has been asking everyday since we went if we can go back.

Okay, check out Rory in this picture, he looks so cute...
And now he's throwing gang signs...what happened to my sweet, inncoent boy?
Sydney looks scared.

This is a lady I visit teach, Cressie. She LOVED having Sydney over, they hung out on Cressie's bed, and Sydney was loving all the attention from Cressie and her nurse, Emelda. Sydney's doing her fair share of service around the ward...she brings lots of smiles and joy to lots of people(especially me!)
Rory with his future girlfriend Rachel. This is our friend's Cameron and Jayda's new little addition.

Well, it's about time for a new blog entry. It's been a crazy few weeks, and just non-stop running around(or atleast it feels like it). Anyways, just day to day stuff. Sydney has been sitting up like a champ, and even inched her way over to some toys via crawling. She said "ball" the other day..although it sounded more like "ba," but we'll add that to the other two words "Mama" and Rory "Ra-Ra" that she's said over the last couple weeks. Ra Ra has been repeated several times, so I know that was no coincidence.
Rory has been busy with Joy school and riding his bike and scooter all over Poway. We're doing great here!

All better!

Liscense and registration, please?
Rory on the way to the hospital this morning. Right after his surgery enjoying his popscicle.

Sydney trying to crawl...
Our sweet Bishop brought us over some rootbeers on Sunday becuase Rory asked him to, so Rory got to enjoy one of them...
I just had to take a picture, it looks so yummy! Barbecue sauce, barbecued chicken, smoked gouda and mozzerella, cilantro and red onions.
A few of us girls from the ward get together for a park day once a week, Sydney decided to take a nap.
Rory and I made a "monster truck" out of a box, he really liked when I would pull him around, but that didn't last log, that kid is getting heavy!

Rory had his surgery today, and it went really well. He was a champ, and his hearing seems pretty much normal already. I felt bad because he wasn't allowed to eat after midnight last night, so he ate dinner, went to bed at 7:30, and woke up at 5:30 am this morning. He also couldn't have anything to drink after 8 this morning, and his surgery wasn't until 11 this morning, so needless to say, he was starving and thirsty. But the doctors promised him popscicles after he "woke" up, and he ate two immediately. The surgery took less than 10 minutes to complete, and we were able to go back and see him as soon as it was over, and the anesthesia had already worn off, and he was awake eating his popscicle. We were able to go home 20 minutes after that, so we were there for less than 2 hours total. We told him he could have anything he wanted for lunch, so a Happy meal from McDonald's it was with a vanilla shake. He ate, and went to bed, and slept for over 4 hours!! He had a long day, so he obviously needed it, and he has been acting like his normal silly self, and hasn't said"what?what?" after someone saying something to him. I'm glad the whole ordeal is over, and we saw some immediate results.

Let's see, we went to Lake Poway a couple times this week to feed the ducks...the first time was on Monday with our friend Kim who not only drove all the way up to Poway from University Heights area to see us, and got in a car accident on the way up!! What a good friend!! ;) I sure felt bad that happened, but so glad it wasn't serious!! Anyways, we made our way over to the park and dumb Mom forgot the bread, so we had to return Tuesday to feed them. We love that park, though, so it was fine. The weather has been gorgeous lately(although when is it not?), and nice and mild, so the park is a perfect destination.

I spent a night out with friends tonight, which was much needed, and ate way too much at Souplantation, but that's okay, I deserve it every now and then. I'll just run a little extra this week.

I've also been trying out some new recipes, above posted a picture of a barbecue chicken pizza I made, it was super easy and soooo yummy, Micah really loved it too, which he actually said, and when he says that, I know he really likes it, because usually if it's just okay, he won't make any comments at all. I also made a tuna tettrazina which is just a glorified tuna casserole, but there were way too many steps(thanks Emeril for making a non-complicated meal complicated). It was good though. Anyways if anyone has any recipes that they use that are tried and true, send them my way!! I love to cook and try new things, so help a sista out! ;)

Can you all believe it's already time to set the clocks forward this weekend? WOW, I'm not ready to lose an hour. I won't mind it staying light out longer, though. I really hate running when it's dark.
