Our first family camping attempt-success!

We(meaning me) decided to do an overnight camping trip in the local mountains-so we headed to Julian's William Heisse park with our friends the Harrison's. We had a great time cooking dinner over the fire, eating S'mores, talking, the kids running amok all over the campsite, and just enjotying the great outdoors. It was freezing that night all curled up in our tents, and no one slept much, but it warmed up nicely the next morning, and after breakfast, packing up and then playing on the playground, we headed into Julian for apple pie, so that was worth the whole trip! We're already thinking of the next trip, too.

An unintentional hiatus...but I'm back

Micah took the day off of work today, so we all went to the park. Rory has been asking us to take the training wheeels off of his bike lately, so he went out in the garage and helped Micah take them off and do some bike maintenance. We got to the park, and within 15 minutes, Rory was up and riding all by himself!! He did so good, I am so proud. He's turning into such a big boy.

Easter week

We had a great Easter weekend, and got lots of time in with Grandpa and Mema Drury. And lots more to come for the kids, as they will be spending this entire weekend with them, too, as Micah and I go on a a little trip to Vegas so I can see Muse. So looking forward to some time alone with Micah!

We went back to Sunset Park in San Marcos on Saturday with my parents, and remembered Rory's kite this time. It was another good day for flying. Here's Grandpa and Rory:
