Sunny San Diego

We have had some amazing and very typical weather this past week. So we have gotten out and enjoyed it. Here's a few things we have done this week:
Daddy bought Rory this massive lollipop. Thankfully he got tired of eating it. Notice Daddy's church shoes?

Got some good bike riding in.

And running...

and swinging.

The weather was perfect for the beach.

A nice view of La Jolla Cove.

And the sunset outside of our home last night.

Christmas Day

Christmas morning we were awoken at 6:30 am by Rory, but Sydney was still sleeping, so we got him to snuggle with us in bed until 7. We got Sydney up, and went out to see if Santa had come.

He sure had!!

Sydney's stocking.

Rory's stocking.

And more under the tree! Wow, Santa sure was generous this year.

Sydney stuffing her mouth with the rest of the Reindeer's carrots.

The capes I made for them...

Christmas breakfast...french toast, sausage, oranges, and chocolate milk. Yummm.

Daddy playing with the toys.

Our Christmas was great...we enjoyed the day, just the four of us. We didn't go anywhere...stayed in our jammies all day, played with all the new toys, watched the Charger game, and had beef stew for dinner. All in all, a perfect Christmas day. Hope you all had a wonderful day, too!! Merry Christmas!!!

Christmas Eve

We always spend Christmas Eve at my parents house with everyone. It's always a blast, and look forward to it each year. We spend the evening eating tons of great food, doing a white elephant gift exchange, and watching the kids open gifts. This year it was all about the white elephant gifts. Everyone got really creative this year, and it was truly sooo fun seeing what gift you ended up with. My Dad set up everything on the patio, including heat lamps for warmth...it was the only space large enough for everyone(my parents invited a few other people over, too). Here's some photos from our evening:

From left to right, my sister kathryn, her husband Jarrod, brother Kenny, his gf Ashley, sis-in-law Lynnette, Sis-in-law Kasey, and brother Kevin.

My niece Kaydence got ahold of some soda...she started acting crazy after sucking the last drops from the can(the can was empty when she got it).

I told the kids it was time for presents, and they ran right over...

Sydney sat for a while with Uncle Keith eating off of his plate...he'd fill it up, she'd empty it.

Mema starting the gifts.

Rory ended up with this sombrero, but wanted nothing to do with it, so Daddy wore it instead.

and Sydney.

I stole this gift when it was my turn....but unfortunately my brother Keith stole it from me to give to his wife. I was pretty bummed. I did end up with a $25 gift card to Olive Garden that I stole from my Mom, and she ended up with a polar bear that poops jelly beans. Not a good trade for her.

My Mom got this great gift...an autographed photo of my brother Kevin, which my husband Micah stole , and is now on our guest bathroom wall.

I gave Sydney a gift to open, and she decided to use it as a chair, instead.

The Family

The sleepy boy after a night of fun...

Our Christmas Eve tradition, ordering a burrito for Santa at a local taco shop.

Santa's yummies. a carne asada burrito and root beer. And carrots for the reindeer of course. ;)
