February 2013

Life has been very hectic! I have completely neglected my blog. For good reason though, mostly that life is just busy, and we have a new baby coming in less then a week. Yay! A new brother will join Rory and Sydney, and we couldn't be happier. So needless to say I have been exhausted, and blogging hasn't been on the top of my priority list. My due date is this Thursday, but my c section is scheduled for next Monday(yeah, what is wrong with my doctor!!?) Anyhow, he will be making his debut soon.

So last post was around Halloween, here's a snippet of some of the stuff we have been up to:
                                                Sunny day at Belmont Park
Trip to St. Louis to visit family, the kids got to go trick or treating and we had a blast seeing all of my family, and Rory got to go up in the Gateway Arch:
                                        Kids with Great Grandma Drury:

slow going

I have been meaning to update this blog and have good intentions, but life keeps getting in the way! I have about 15 posts from the past 5 months I want to add, but will get around to them eventually. Before the years end! Anyways, last night was out ward's trunk or treat and since we are headed out of town on Halloween and will be on a plane all day, we most likely won't get to trick or treating once we arrive to our destination. So this was our trick or treating for the year, and the kids had a great time!

Rory was a rhinoceros and Sydney was a bee(thanks Helen for letting her borrow it!) I came up with a last minute costume, and Micah decided to once again be to cool for dressing up. Not a surprise. He wanted to be Tobias from Arrested Development(as he has wanted to be the last few years) but never really got it together. All well. As you can see our little new baby boy decided he wanted to trick or treat too, and who was I to stop him? I was going to use some blood around those arms busting out of my gut, but the kids were freaked out enough, and begged me not too add blood. I got lots of fun comments and compliments on my "costume."

Today we headed down to Sea World but the line was looooong just to get into the parking lot so we decided to skip it since we have season passes, and headed over to belmont Park. Good choice, as it was empty, so we bought the kids wrist bands and they road the rides for 2 hours. We had a great time. It was a gorgeous day. We topped it off with lunch on Shelter Island, and the kids played Mario Kart at home. Then bed! We had a great day.

Summer 2012

Summer passed very quickly this year. Too quickly! But we had a lot of fun! Since I am still playing catch up(obviously, since it's October), I am going to condense.

Sydney, Sydney, and Gage(my Sydney's future husband).
Getting a dental check-up. Perfect teeth for both! My kids love going to the dentis(weird, right?)

Playing catch up! Last days of Kindergarten.

I haven't posted in months, and I was looking back at old posts, and loved being remonded of all the fun stuff from months and years past, so I need to do better and keep up with this! So I going to have lots of posts coming.
We thought we would surprise the kids and take them  to a day game at Petco park. Because it was a school day, we thought we would pick Rory up from school early, and not tell him what we were doing. So Micah went over to Midland, got Rory before lunch, and told him we had a surprise. I packed lunch and snacks, and we were ready to go. Rory got it in his head we were going somewhere like Disneyland or Knott's Berry farm. We kept saying "no, but somewhere really fun! You will like it!" he then said, "what about Legoland? Sea World? the zoo? Wild animal park? " NO, NO, and NO! We finally told him we were going to a Padres game, and the little booger said"that's not fun! You took me outta school to go to a baseball game?!!"  Well we told him to get his back back, he was going back to school, and just Sydney would go. And then he heard Dad say we were getting cotton candy. Rory decided he wanted to go after all. too bad they only lasted as long as the snacks. 5 innings. all well.

Rory's school had a carnival for the end of the year. We bought $8 in tickets and stayed until they were used. About 30 minutes. Most of that time was walking around trying to figure out which games they wanted to play. But we had fun.

The Kindergartners put on a show for a Volunteer luncheon I was invited to at school. They sang lots of cute songs. My favorite part was watching Rory sing of course!

We took Mema and Grandpa out to dinner at Red Lobster:

The last couple of days of school Rory's class did lots of fun activities. They had a picnic at a nearby park, had games out on the filed, and a movie afternoon with different "theatres" to choose from, and snacks. I volunteered for everything, and loved watching all of the kids. They were so excited the whole time! Sydney got to go to the activities, too. She took off with a groupm of first grade girls each day and I hardly saw her. She was in her element!

Easter

Easter is always a joyful time of year. We look forward to time with family, the kids look forward to candy and easter egg hunts, but we especially look forward to conference(listening to our Prophet) which happens just before, and celebrating our Savior Jesus Christ, and his atonement and ressurection. We are so greatful for Him, and for his divine love for us. He is our Lord, and because of Him, we can all live again.

We spent Saturday at my Mom and Dad's house, and Sunday at micah's parents, so it was fun seeing the whole family. Here's some Easter egg hunt photos:
