We're back in one piece!

Outside of the park...waiting for Dad to buy tickets. He kept saying "I'm so excited, Mom!"
Sydney apparently was, too.

On the train that goes around the park.

On Autopia, this was his favorite.
Yay! Grandpa's here! We didn't tell Rory he was coming, and surprised him. He was pretty happy!

He got bored witht his really fast...

With Grandpa on the Dumbo ride.
Grandpa rode on the carousel once with everyone...Kaydence, Rory and then Sydney. My camera ran out of room when Sydney got on, unfortunately.
Sydney obviously is interested in something else.
At Mickey's house.
He loved watching the cake rise in Minnie's oven.
I wish I had a jail at home. Perfect for time-outs.
On the Jungle Cruise.
Rory refused to get anywhere near Alladdin and Jasmine...he was scared.
We all felt kinda jipped about the Jungle Book treehouse...lots of stairs, and that's pretty much it.Another Rory favorite..the bumper cars.
Daddy had to do this one, I can't do spinney ridesRory's there, too.
He loved this Rocket ride.
Hang ten, dude.

Well, we're back, and we're tired!! All of us! 2 kids in a hotel=no sleep for anyone. But that's okay, we all had a blast at Disneyland. It was well worth the effort, money, and lack of sleep. Rory had a great experience, and we are going to keep reminding him so he doesn't forget. I was thinking that he sure is a lucky boy to get to do so much fun stuff. I never went to any amusement parks growing up(although I hold no ill feelings towards my parents for this, as I couldn't imagine any parent having to take 5 kids anywhere, much less an overpriced, overcrowded park). Anyways, I'm now getting to see why places like Disneyland were built...so your children can go on rides, eat lots of sugar, and run around until they either fall asleep or puke. Or both. ;) But Micah and I both said that we have never had more fun at an amusement park than we did with Rory and Sydney. The weather turned our perfect, and the crowds weren't bad.
We went on almost every ride that he was tall enough for. The verdict is: he LOVED Autopia(the race car one), and the Jungle Cruise. He DID not like the Roger Rabbit ride or almost any that went into a a dark tunnel..so we skipped most of those(like Pirates, the Mad hatter, etc...). He went on the bumper cars at California Adventure over and over, and ran around Toon Town like he owned the place. He even got to meet Mickey, but for the most part didn't want anything to do with any of the characters...Micah took Rory on a Buzz Lightyear ride, and on the way out they saw Captain Hook. Rory freaked out, jumped into the back of the double stroller, pulled the visor down over him so you couldn't see him, and said he wanted to go home. At least we didn't have to wait in the lines to get photos with any of the characters, right?
Grandpa Drury and Aunt Lynnette and Kaydence met us up there on Monday afternoon for Grandpa's birthday, so Rory got to hang out with him and have a churro. Grandpa even got him some cool toys...we're really glad they came up, it made it that much more fun. Happy Birthday Dad! Anyways, we'll wait another year or two before going back so Sydney can enjoy it more, and Rory will be able to go on ALL the rides(and maybe won't be scared of some of them).
